the ponderings of a mother

These are the ponderings of a mother in love with her children, both in my arms and in the grave. Some of these ponderings are quite emotional, some are funny, others contemplative and spiritual. All are sincere. May these writings bless you in many ways and bring you closer to the one, true God and Redeemer of all things.

A wild guess

Every morning when I walk into the science building where I work, I walk up 3 flights of stairs to get to my office. On the second level I stop every time I pass this bronze memoire to breathe deeply and pray the engraved scripture. See, this family donated some huge sum of money to this building being built, and in honor wanted to dedicate it memory of the son they lost over 40 years ago “with loving sympathy to all those who have children already home with their Heavenly Father.” You can see below there are hands cradling this precious baby boy, God’s hands. It’s so beautiful. And you can read the scripture below as well.
Taking a wild guess, I would say there is not another one of these in the whole world like it. And not only is it here in Wheaton, but it is within eyeshot of my new office, and on my morning path to work. The Lord has gone before me, he is acclimating me to the sunshine, Blessed be the Name of the Lord.
